Job summary

WTW seeks an experienced Manager to lead actuarial engagements in life insurance. You'll drive client delivery across financial modeling, regulatory issues, pricing, and product development while mentoring junior staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building senior client relationships, with opportunities for career advancement in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an actuarial role at a life insurance company, consulting firm, or financial services organization.
• Familiarity with regulatory capital regimes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey findings, recommendations, and work products to team members.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across different disciplines and work styles, with a willingness to share knowledge.
• Experience in at least one specific life insurance and/or annuity product line.
• Experience in at least one of the following functional areas: predictive analytics/data science, financial reporting, financial modeling, M&A, product development/pricing and risk management.
• Self-motivated, proactive learner with a passion for driving new developments.
• Willingness to mentor junior colleagues and foster their professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage workstreams to achieve engagement and budget objectives.
• Strengthen industry relationships through delivering high-quality work and regulatory updates.
• Share expertise and strategic insights to drive team growth and business development.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews ensuring alignment with WTW Excellence standards.
• Prepare client communications and assist in meetings and written or verbal updates.
• Contribute to intellectual capital via research, publications, industry events, and webinars.
• Support revenue growth by meeting billable hour expectations and assisting in sales processes.
• Partner with senior sellers to contribute to proposals.
• Pursue professional credentials through SOA CE requirements.
