Job summary

Aspida Financial Services, LLC in Durham, NC is seeking a Summer 2027 Actuarial Internship to support pricing, reserving, and risk analysis as part of the actuarial team onsite at our Durham headquarters.

You will help design automated rate processes, prepare trend reports, and collaborate with senior actuaries while developing model development skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• At least one successful SOA exam preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and risk analysis.
• Prepare reports of key trends and communicate findings.
• Support senior actuaries by optimizing actuarial processes related to hedging and risk.
• Design and implement a process for helping Aspida set product rates in a more automated format.
