Job summary

Milliman, Inc. is seeking Actuarial Interns for Summer 2027 in a remote US role. You will work with consultants on pricing, reserving, data analysis and predictive modeling, gaining mentorship and presenting findings to colleagues after 10–12 weeks.

Ideal candidates are pursuing actuarial science or quantitative degrees, have at least one actuarial exam, and are familiar with Excel, SAS, R or Python. This internship emphasizes skill development across product development and regulatory support.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's or master's in actuarial science, math, stats, econ or related field with at least one semester remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at time of application.
• Experience with MS Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
• Some exposure to SQL, R and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data preparation, checks, and documentation using Excel.
• Support rate analyses through predictive modeling using SAS, Python and R.
• Draft reports and exhibits for internal/external use.
• Prepare and submit state regulatory filing support documents.
• Contribute to research projects of varying scope.
