Job summary

Oscar Health in New York City is seeking an Intern to support one actuarial practice—Pricing, ETF, or Valuation. You’ll work with actuaries and partners to build tools, models and studies, reporting to the Senior Manager, Actuarial.

The role requires 3+ years of college toward an actuarial-related degree and a 10-week commitment with a 40-hour workweek. Hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days weekly in NYC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of college toward a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL and Python helpful.

Responsibilities

• Produce a predetermined project to support one actuarial team, e.g., automation, models, dashboards or studies.
• Gain exposure to actuarial concepts, tools, and industry practices.
• Participate in actuarial and cross-functional meetings to build relationships.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
