Job summary

Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is seeking an experienced actuary to join as Associate Director, primarily responsible for reserving for P&C clients with a secondary focus on pricing and capital modeling.

The role targets candidates with 7+ years of reserving, ACAS, and strong analytics in R/SQL/Python, willing to lead client engagements across major US markets including Chicago, New York, and Minneapolis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Actuarial Reserving and Reserve Analysis for P&C insurance.
• ACAS or equivalent credential required.
• Experience with NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinions preferred.
• Experience in actuarial pricing methods, GLMs, machine learning, and regulatory frameworks preferred.
• Proven leadership in client-facing roles and ability to deliver pricing and modeling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of quarterly loss and LAE reserve levels.
• Conduct data exploration, forecasting, and modeling to identify trends and drivers of reserve results.
• Oversee allocation of held bulk reserves to granular levels and support accounting for loss-based accruals.
• Perform QA checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review procedures to improve efficiency for clients and internal operations.
