Job summary

Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group (STG) seeks an experienced actuary to join its consulting team, focusing on reserving with pricing/modeling as a secondary emphasis for insurance and reinsurance clients. The primary role is to lead reserving analyses, with advisory input across pricing and capital modeling.

ACAS credential required; 7+ years in actuarial reserving for P&C; strong R/SQL/Python skills; regulatory awareness; an opportunity for impactful client-facing leadership in a hybrid US

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Actuarial Reserving for P&C insurance.
• ACAS or equivalent credential required.
• Experience with NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinions preferred.
• Experience in actuarial pricing methods, GLMs, ML, and regulatory frameworks preferred.
• Proven leadership in client-facing roles delivering pricing and modeling solutions.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, Python or similar languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly loss and LAE reserve levels analyses and presentations.
• Conduct data exploration, forecasting, and modeling to identify trends and drivers.
• Oversee allocation of bulk reserves to granular levels and support associated accruals.
• Perform QA checks and peer reviews for technical accuracy.
• Review procedures and implement efficiency improvements.
