Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a senior actuary to design and oversee complex pricing models for Part D, analyze forecasts, and lead pricing analyses. The role blends actuarial science with business strategy to impact premiums and product proposals.

You will mentor actuarial staff, collaborate across teams, and work with SAS/SQL/Python as needed. Remote work is allowed nationwide with in-office presence in Minneapolis at least four days per week where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 4+ actuarial exams passed.
• 5+ years actuarial/health care economics or similar experience.
• 2+ years mentoring Actuarial students / junior staff.
• Extensive knowledge of design and pricing concepts and methodologies in health care.
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python or other programming language.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and oversight of complex actuarial models related to pricing and risk assumptions of Part D.
• Participate in the Part D bid submission process.
• Lead actuarial analysis to support pricing assumptions.
• Determine the impact of actions on premiums and product proposals.
• Develop pricing methodologies and assumptions.
• Analyze forecasts and trends.

Education
