Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, business, or related field.
• Direct experience developing analytical applications and automated data solutions in actuarial, financial, or business processes.
• Experience with Databricks and SQL; familiarity with AI-enabled development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated analysis software for actuarial teams, primarily on Databricks, with SQL and other languages as needed.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle- analysis, design, construction, implementation, and testing- and produce solution design specifications others can build from.
• Integrate with third-party systems such as GGY AXIS, ESG software, and risk modeling systems. Cloud-based computing tools and environments may be used.
• Financial and actuarial analysis - build and support the software behind actuarial and financial analysis - including principles-based modeling, financial forecasting, capital market pricing, and numerical methods used in pricing, valuation, financial reporting, or risk management.
• Cross collaboration - partner effectively with both business and technical colleagues to turn business needs into sound, well-engineered solutions.
• Lead with AI - use AI and generative-AI tools as a default part of work, review AI output to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Training and knowledge transfer - research and share new techniques, train others in analysis tools and methods, including AI.
• Operate business solutions - refine solutions for deployment to business users and support them in production.
