Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support for Actuarial financial data systems and data marts.

You will identify business requirements, assist in trend and financial analyses, and help develop data extracts, reports and data mart structures. The role emphasizes SQL skills, data quality, and collaboration with the actuarial team in a hybrid work environment in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in related fields.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, design and testing of data sets delivered through the Actuarial data marts.
• Assist with monthly data refreshes, validations, and quality assurance checks for financial reporting.
• Assist in developing decision support solutions including medical and pharmacy claim data builds, data extracts, reports, data mart tables, views and analysis.
• Provide support for multiple data application areas, including data definitions, usage and file structure, and SQL code structure.
