Job summary

Sammons Financial Group is seeking an actuarial professional at the Associate 1 or 2 level to perform technical actuarial tasks, including modeling, data analytics, product development and financial reporting.

You will interpret data, apply assumptions, and document methodology while developing modeling tools and supporting regulatory reporting. Collaboration across departments is expected and SOA exam progress is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in mathematics or business.
• 3-5 years' experience in actuarial science preferred.
• Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail.
• Strong computer and written/verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of insurance industry.
• Must have passed a minimum of three SOA exams and pursue actuarial designation.

Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial tasks including modeling, data analytics, product development and financial reporting.
• Assist in developing models, documenting assumptions and applying them.
• Analyze data and present findings; ensure data robustness.
• Support regulatory reporting and analysis of financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in special projects.
