Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to consolidate, analyze, and report on insurance financial results. You will partner across life, health, and annuity lines to interpret drivers of performance and communicate insights to management.

The role includes IFRS 17 FMI package development, participation in GAAP transition, and providing guidance on complex valuation issues. Hybrid work and a strong leadership focus are required.

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or ASA with substantial actuarial experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field; 5+ years actuarial experience.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a Master’s degree in a related field with 4+ years actuarial experience may be considered.
• In lieu of an FSA designation, an ASA with 8+ years actuarial experience may be considered.
• Demonstrates high quality leadership, judgment, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication of advanced mathematical and analytical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver actuarial reports and analyses of financial results.
• Lead the IFRS 17 FMI package preparation with exhibits and narratives.
• Collaborate with valuation, investments, ALM, and other partners to explain drivers of results.
• Develop and maintain reporting exhibits and analytics for management.
