Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to consolidate, analyze, and report insurance financial results. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive insights, support financial reporting, and oversee IFRS 17 FMI delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to manage projects across life, health and annuity lines. Hybrid work with occasional travel in Cedar Rapids hub and other locations is offered.

Qualifications

• Actuarial leadership experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience delivering actuarial reports, analyses and FMI/GAAP packages.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and financial reporting preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver actuarial reports, analyses, and management insights on financial results.
• Lead the IFRS 17 FMI package preparation with exhibits and narratives.
• Collaborate with valuation, investments, ALM and other partners across life/health/annuities.
• Develop and maintain reporting exhibits and analytics for management.
• Support transition to US GAAP, including FMI reporting and methodology development.
• Provide actuarial guidance on complex reporting issues.
• Represent the organization on industry committees and with regulators.
