Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a senior finance leader to lead the Life product line reporting, ensuring accurate IFRS/US GAAP and capital reporting results. You will partner with actuarial, FP&A, investments and other finance teams to drive insights and improve processes.

The role requires 12 years in accounting/finance with 8 in management, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Hybrid in-office schedule with competitive compensation and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of accounting/finance experience including eight years of management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of assigned business area (e.g. investments, premiums, corporate finance).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly financial reporting and close process for the Life product line across IFRS, US GAAP, and capital reporting frameworks.
• Provide insight into financial performance by identifying key drivers, trends, risks, and issues to Finance and leadership.
• Partner with Actuarial, FP&A, Capital Management, Investments, and other Finance teams for transparent results.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals in recurring reporting and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain SOX processes and resolve reporting errors and control deficiencies.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, data, and processes.
