Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate for our Commercial Reserving team to build actuarial expertise while supporting reserve valuation, forecasting, and pricing activities. You will collaborate with colleagues across Network Management, Underwriting, Sales, Finance, and Healthcare to provide analysis and technical support for health programs.
The role is designed for early-career actuaries (0-2 years), with enrollment in the actuarial student program and the goal of achieving the ASA
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree required.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Enrolled in actuarial student program and pursuing ASA.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
- Assist in pricing, reserves and cash flow projections.
- Perform rate studies to determine rate adequacy.
- Conduct actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations.
- Provide support to senior analysts or actuaries.
- Retrieve and validate data for rate filings and models.
