Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate to build actuarial expertise while supporting reserve valuation, financial forecasting, and pricing activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform health programs and business decisions.
The role involves analyzing data, performing actuarial calculations, and assisting in rate studies under supervision, with opportunities to embrace the Societies of Actuaries education system toward ASA designation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
- 0-2 years of experience in related field.
- Enrolled in the actuarial student program and is committed to completing the Society of Actuaries education system courses necessary to attain the ASA designation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial, statistical and mathematical data and perform actuarial calculations.
- Assist in pricing, reserves and cash flow projections.
- Assist in rate studies to determine rate adequacy.
- Support actuarial research and experience studies.
- Provide analytic support for corporate and departmental projects.
