Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate to build actuarial expertise and support reserve valuation, financial forecasting, healthcare economics, and pricing activities. You will work with cross-functional teams and act as a resource for actuarial development.

You will collaborate with partners and be enrolled in the Actuarial Development Program, with opportunities for growth and contribution to health programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 0-2 years of related actuarial experience.
• Enrolled in the actuarial student program pursuing ASA.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
• Assists in pricing, reserves and cash flow projections.
• Supports rate studies for rate adequacy.
• Performs actuarial research, experience studies and statistical analyses.
• Provides data retrieval and validation for rate filings and models.
