Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate to support reserve valuation, financial forecasting and rate activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in actuarial analyses under guidance from experienced actuaries.

The role emphasizes development through the Actuarial Development Program, with hybrid work options and a focus on healthcare economics and pricing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 0-2 years of experience in related field.
• Enrolled in the actuarial student program and committed to completing SOA exams to attain ASA.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
• Assist in pricing, reserves and cash flow projections.
• Assist in rate studies to determine rate adequacy.
• Perform actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses.
• Provide support to senior analysts or actuaries as required.
• Retrieve and validate data for rate filings and models; help build model enhancements.
