Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking an Actuarial Associate to support reserve valuation, financial forecasting and health program pricing. You will work with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to actuarial calculations and rate studies.

The role emphasizes learning under experienced actuaries, participation in the Actuarial Development Program, and opportunities to contribute to enterprise risk management and strategic projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 0-2 years of experience in related field.
• Enrolled in the actuarial student program and committed to completing SOA education for ASA designation.
• Blue Cross NC will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
• Assist in pricing, reserves and/or cash flow projections.
• Assist in rate studies used to determine rate adequacy.
• Support actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses.
• Provide support to senior analysts or actuaries as required.
• Retrieve and validate data for rate filings and actuarial models.
• Assist in model enhancements and explain changes to factors.
• Distribute reports and respond to inquiries.
• Investigate trends and anomalies.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management.
• Provide analytic support for corporate projects.
• Participate in the Actuarial Development Program.
