Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Associate to develop actuarial expertise while supporting reserve valuation, financial forecasting and healthcare analytics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analysis that informs health programs and business decisions.
With guidance from experienced actuaries, you will contribute to actuarial projects, data validation, reporting and research. A Hybrid work approach and opportunities for professional growth are part of the role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
- 0–2 years of experience in related field.
- Enrolled in the actuarial student program and committed to completing SOA education to attain the ASA designation.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes financial, statistical and mathematical data and performs actuarial calculations.
- Assists in determination of pricing, reserves and/or cash flow projections.
- Assists in rate studies used to determine rate adequacy.
- Performs actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses.
