Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support rating and pricing, valuation, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting. This role applies mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to provide technical actuarial support.

You will work with a team of actuaries and collaborate with Network Management, Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare teams. The position offers a Hybrid-Flex arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree required.
• 2+ years actuarial experience.
• Must have completed at least 3 exams towards ASA.
• In lieu of meeting minimum exam/experience, ASA or more exams may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses.
• Calculate premiums and reserves for new and existing plans.
• Provide support to senior analysts or actuaries as needed.
• Retrieve and validate data for rate filings and models; analyze changes.
• Communicate filing status to internal stakeholders and regulators.
• Retrieve and validate data for monthly reports and UCL/ALR calculations.
• Support valuation by executing ALR model and researching assumptions.
• Distribute reports and respond to inquiries; investigate trends.
• Execute control activities to support Enterprise Risk Management.
• Provide analytic support for corporate projects.
• Participate in Actuarial Development Program
