Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support rating, pricing, valuation, and forecasting. You will apply mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to provide technical actuarial support and collaborate with teams across underwriting, finance, and healthcare.

In this role, you will perform research, validate data for rate filings, and help communicate filing status to stakeholders. A hybrid-flex work model combines in-office collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 2+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Must have completed at least 3 exams towards ASA.

Responsibilities

• Performs actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations.
• Calculates premiums and reserves of new and existing plans of insurance.
• Provides support to senior analysts or actuaries as required.
• Retrieves and validates data for rate filings and actuarial models; builds model enhancements.
