Job summary

Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation in Anderson, SC is seeking an Activity/Member Assistant to support elderly and young adults in a compassionate, engaging environment. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with no weekends or holidays.

You will assist with planning activities, provide personal care, and help maintain a safe, respectful setting while ensuring HIPAA compliance and teamwork with the RN Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred but not required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities.
• Provide ADL personal care to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.
• Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.

Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.

Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members.

Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space.

Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.

Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.

Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

What We’re Looking For?

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred but not required)

Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license

CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Clean background check and drug test

Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks
