Job summary

Goldwater Care seeks an Activity Director to design and oversee a comprehensive activity program that aligns with each resident's interests and well-being across physical, mental, and psychosocial domains.

You will develop monthly calendars, supervise Activity Aides, document progress, and collaborate with the Administrator to align programming with the budget and potential funding opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an Activity Director training course.
• Minimum 2 years in a social or recreational program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities.
• Prepare, plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities.
• Oversight of Activity Aides.
• Properly document MDS reports and progress notes.
• Participate with the Administrator in developing the activity budget, including creatively sourcing funds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and plan activities
• Prepare, plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities
• Oversight of Activity Aides

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
