Pomeroy Living is seeking an energetic Activity Director to lead our activity team and volunteers, and to develop diverse monthly calendars that engage residents of varying interests and abilities. You will be hands-on, involved in the community, and work with nursing, dining, and leadership to enhance the resident experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience planning recreational programming, preferably in senior living or healthcare, and certifications such as CTRS or CAD are preferred.
At Pomeroy Living, we believe a great activity program is not measured by how full the calendar looks. It is measured by whether residents are participating, connecting with others, trying new things, and genuinely enjoying where they live.
We are looking for a creative, energetic Activity Director who knows how to make that happen.
This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who understands that our residents have different interests, abilities, backgrounds, and personalities. The same residents should not be the only ones attending activities every day. Our goal is to create enough variety and opportunity that every resident can find something that interests them and gives them a reason to participate.
We want someone who brings ideas to the table, takes ownership of the program, and understands that resident engagement is an important part of quality of life.
The right candidate will be organized, creative, dependable, comfortable leading a team, and willing to jump in and participate.
Candidates should have experience developing and leading recreational or activity programming, preferably in senior living or healthcare.
CTRS, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or CAD, Certified Activity Director, certification is preferred. Candidates with strong senior living activity experience and other applicable qualifications are encouraged to apply.
We want an Activity Director who can create energy in the community, build relationships with residents, lead a strong team, and continually ask one important question:
Are our residents having fun and enjoying where they live?
If that is how you think about senior living, we would like to meet you.
