McKnight Place Extended Care – St. Louis, MO seeks an Activities Assistant (Life Enrichment) for a full-time role. You will lead group activities, visit residents, and help create engaging experiences for seniors.

No experience? Paid training. Weekend and holiday availability required. Schedule Mon-Fri 9:30am-5:00pm with rotating weekends. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and daily pay.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, energetic, and dependable with a positive attitude.
• Enjoys interacting with seniors and creating meaningful experiences.
• Comfortable walking, bending, standing, and assisting residents.
• Background in senior living, recreation, dementia care, childcare, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, celebrations, and special events.
• Visit residents one-on-one using activity carts to provide personalized engagement.
• Encourage participation while building meaningful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents throughout the community, including safely pushing wheelchairs as needed.
• Help set up and maintain activity areas and document resident participation.
• Occasionally assist with caring for facility animals as part of the activities program.
