Job summary

Symphony Applewood is seeking an Activity Assistant to support a well-rounded Life Enrichment program, promoting residents' needs while complying with state and federal guidelines.

You will assist residents with social activities, lead both group and individual sessions, and maintain required records to ensure quality care and compliance within our nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities (essential).
• 1+ years' experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Willingness to work every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with social, entertainment, exercise and relaxation activities.
• Lead group and individual resident activities.
• Complete required record keeping per facility policy.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Activity Assistant is responsible with assisting to ensure compliance for a well-rounded Life Enrichment program that promotes the needs of the residents while complying with overall operation of the Recreation Therapy Department according to state and federal guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Assist our residents' with activities to provide social communication, entertainment, exercise and relaxation for our residents.
• Lead group and individual resident activities
• Complete required record keeping per facility policy

• Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities
