Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant to join our Syracuse, NY community. The role supports the Activity Director in delivering resident-centered programs and events, with a focus on safety, engagement, and quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivering creative and engaging resident activities under the guidance of the Activity Director.
• Assist in orienting residents to activity programs and ensuring accessibility and inclusion.
• Demonstrate self-motivation to work independently while showing compassion, integrity and honesty.
• Ability to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and implement creative activity ideas.
• Foster teamwork and support co-workers, residents, and guests with a positive attitude.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Works with Activity Director to deliver creative and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community
• Under the direction of the Director of Activities, assist with orienting all residents to activity programs.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions. Must be a proven professional with compassion, integrity, and honesty.
• Has the ability to work under pressure, resolve conflict, prioritize tasks and follow through with creative ideas.
• Have a keen ability to foster teamwork with co-workers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, helping others beyond the job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Activity Assistant Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years required experience in Senior Assisted Living
