Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Colonie, NY is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to support resident programs and events. The role collaborates with the Director to tailor activities to individual interests while orienting residents to new programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community.
• Assist with orienting all residents to activity programs under the Director of Activities.
• Be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate compassion, integrity and honesty.
• Manage pressures, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and implement creative ideas.

Schedule: Part Time

Monday 11am - 7:30pm, Friday 11am - 7:30pm, and Saturday 9am - 5pm

Salary: $16.00 - $18.50/hour - based on experience

We are currently seeking an energetic and caring Activities Assistant.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community
• Under the direction of the Director of Activities, assist with orienting all residents to activity programs.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions. Must be a proven professional with compassion, integrity, and honesty.
• Has the ability to work under pressure, resolve conflict, prioritize tasks and follow through with creative ideas.
• An ability to foster teamwork with co-workers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, helping others beyond the job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Activities Assistant Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years required experience in Senior Assisted Living
