Job summary

Civitas Senior Living Legacy Oaks of Azle is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Director to create engaging programs that enrich the lives of residents in our Azle community. You will lead activity planning, coordinate newsletters, and foster community connections with families and groups.

You will train and motivate staff, ensuring personalized welcome experiences and well-executed events that celebrate residents’ lives and promote well-being.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Company-sponsored Activity Director certification as required.
• Compassion and Enthusiasm: love for working with seniors and a zest for life.
• Effective Communication: written and oral communication with diverse audiences.
• Valid driver’s license; background and motor vehicle checks required.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute a diverse schedule of meaningful activities and events that resonate with residents.
• Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and calendars; arrange for community groups to visit.
• Educate, train, and inspire team members to foster meaningful connections and a strong community.
• Compile biographies on each new resident to welcome them warmly and personally.
• Decorate common areas for special events and holidays to create an inviting atmosphere.
• Maintain inventory and manage budget, aligning with the community’s goals and standards.
