Job summary

Oak Park Place in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events for residents. You will help enhance wellbeing by promoting regular participation and activities.

Under the supervision of the Activity Director, you will lead crafts, games, and wellness activities, coordinate with other departments, and adapt programs to resident needs. A positive attitude and prior eldercare or activities experience are preferred, with flexible

• Activity Assistant qualifications: positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activities role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events to enhance resident wellbeing.
• Under the Activity Director, help design a balanced activity program.
• Lead and promote arts, crafts, and games to encourage participation.
• Collaborate with all departments to meet resident needs.
• Assess interests and tailor activities accordingly.

Activity Assistant

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialisation and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly

Requirements

Activity Assistant Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
• Previous experience in an activity's role preferred
