Job summary

Oak Park Place is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events that enhance residents' well‑being and promote socialization and physical activity.

You will assist in coordinating a diverse program under the Activity Director, guiding arts, crafts, games, and group activities while fostering a positive, inclusive environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Activity Director, help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.
