Job summary

Oak Park Place in Wauwatosa is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant to support our residents with carefully planned social and recreational events. The role requires coordinating daily programs and fostering a welcoming atmosphere during the afternoon hours, with every-other-weekend coverage.

Under the supervision of the Activity Director you will organize arts, crafts, games, and outings, encouraging participation and well-being.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity's role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program under the Activity Director.
• Lead and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our Activity Team at our Wauwatosa location! The hours are Monday-Friday from 3pm-7pm and every other weekend from 8am-4:30pm. Previous experience preferred, but not required!

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.
