**Nursing and Rehabilitation at the Mansion** is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our skilled nursing home facility in Sunbury, PA.

The Activities Assistant conducts activities for residents under the direction of the Director of Activities.

This is a PRN position, requiring flexible hours and availability every other weekend. It could lead to a part-time or full-time role.

Starting at $12+/hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the emotional, recreational, and social needs of residents are met on an individual basis.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as writing letters, making phone calls, and voting registration.
• Maintain records of residents' progress and activity attendance.
• Assist with mail delivery, escort residents to activities, care for flowers/plants, pets, and fish, prepare newsletters, and make morning announcements.
• Plan and carry out activities that provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities for creative expression, fulfilling psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Provide craft supplies and supervise residents during craft activities, encouraging their potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals is desirable.
