Job Summary

As an Activity Aide, you will execute the daily activity calendar established by the Activity Director, promoting a high quality of life for each resident by meeting their needs and preferences. Your role is vital in fostering a positive and engaging environment for residents.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $15-$17 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to monitor facility and program goals through teamwork.
• Chart residents' involvement in activities daily.
• Lead interactive programs to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Conduct activities according to schedule.
• Perform other duties to ensure resident well-being and engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• At least 1 year of healthcare or related experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Strong time management skills.
• Empathy, compassion, enthusiasm.
• Friendly, energetic demeanor with a sense of humor.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and occasionally hostile individuals.
• Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Lift equipment, supplies, and occasionally move furniture.
• Move intermittently throughout the day.
