Position Details

We are hiring full-time Activities Assistants to join our recreation team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield!
32 hours per week. Weekly pay at $18 an hour. Berkshire Rehab is an all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population.
Working with our team and residents will give you purpose in your professional and personal life.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Therapeutic Recreation and/or Memory Care Program Coordinator in planning and organizing activities to promote residents' well-being.
• Visit residents regularly to evaluate their needs and document findings.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate physical, mental, social, and spiritual health.
• Help establish and follow through on resident care goals within the therapeutic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; training provided for the right candidate.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Knowledge of privacy policies and procedures.
• Patience, tact, and enthusiasm for resident care.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education.
