We are currently seeking a qualified Full-time/Part-time Activity Assistant.

Education:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their current maturity level.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this facility.
- Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and degree of involvement to evaluate activities and resident progress.
- Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the needs of residents and their families.
- Participate in discharge planning, development of activity care plans, and resident assessments.
- Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
- Involve residents and their families in planning activity programs, objectives, and goals.
- Ensure all charted activity notes are informative, descriptive, and reflect the resident's response to services.
- Complete administrative tasks such as forms and reports, submitting them to the Activity Director as required.
