Job summary

Civitas Senior Living in Midlothian, TX seeks a compassionate Senior Living Activity Assistant to lead daily resident activities and foster engagement. You will transport residents safely, plan events, and document activities to capture memories.

You will train and support a caring team, welcome new residents, and help create a warm community. A 1+ year in a similar role and a driver’s license are preferred; degree in psychology or kinesiology is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Degree in psychology or kinesiology preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
• Educates, trains, and supports team members on activities.
• Meet and greet each resident on move-in to foster community bonding.
• Plan events and decorate common areas for special occasions.
• Take attendance and photographs of activities, creating memories.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
