Job summary

Oak Park Place in Oak Creek, WI is hiring an Activity Assistant to join our energetic team. This full-time, non-exempt role runs 8am-4:30pm or 10am-6:30pm, including every other weekend, to plan and implement recreational and social events for residents.

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our Activity team at our Oak Creek location! This is a full time position 8am-4:30pm and 10am-6:30pm, including every other weekend. Experience is preferred, but not required!

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly

Requirements

Activity Assistant Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred
