Oak Park Place in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant to support a vibrant activity program for residents. The role offers hourly pay of $14.00–$17.00 with non-exempt status and requires a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, with preference for those with elder care or activity experience.

You will assist with planning and executing recreational events, promote socialization and physical activity, and collaborate with staff to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.

Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.
