Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center in Gloucester City, NJ is seeking a friendly Activity Assistant to join our LTC team, planning and leading social, recreational and therapeutic activities to improve residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities include leading groups for LTC and Dementia Unit, arts and crafts, music, sing‑alongs, games and events, and assisting with meals when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for working with seniors.

Job Summary:
Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center, a comprehensive nursing home, is seeking a positive, upbeat Activity Assistant to join our team! As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our residents by planning, organizing, and leading social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. If you enjoy crafting, singing, dancing, storytelling, or chatting with people, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging groups and individual activities for our L.T.C. population and Dementia Unit

• Lead group activities, including arts and crafts, music, sing-alongs, trivia, games, exercise sessions, and social events

• Encourage participation from residents and provide individualized attention and assist with sensory stimulation

• May be trained to assist with feeding residents at meal times when required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for working with seniors

• Ability to work every other weekend and some holidays

• Comfortable with geriatric population
