Job summary

Complete Care at Green Acres is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enhance the lives of residents through engaging recreational and therapeutic activities. You will help plan, organize, and lead daily programs that foster socialization, creativity, and well-being within a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Prior experience as Activity Aide or in healthcare/recreation/customer service preferred, but training provided.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and a team player.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating daily recreational programs.
• Lead and participate in social and therapeutic activities to engage residents.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support as needed.
• Monitor engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team.
• Maintain attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate Complete Care for holidays and events.
• Prepare activity materials and keep spaces organized and inviting.
• Support community events and other programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Activity Aide Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.

Activity Aide Responsibilities

• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.
