Job summary

Complete Care is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team. You will plan and assist with recreational activities that engage and enrich residents, fostering a warm, home-like environment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, good interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for supporting seniors. Part-time day shift with benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activity Aide or in healthcare/recreation is preferred but training is available.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating daily recreational programs.

• Maintain attendance records and activity documentation.

Activity Aide Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills required.
• A genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors.
• Bilingual preferred but not required

Activity Aide Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate Complete Care for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.
• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.
• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.
