Job summary

Avantara Redfield is seeking an Activities Aide to join a caring team. You will engage residents, provide companionship, and support emotional and social wellbeing.

You will help schedule movies, plan parties, organize games and crafts, and accompany residents on activities inside and outside the facility. A 10th grade education is required; prior Activity Aide experience is preferred, but we invest in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Interact with residents to provide companionship and support emotional and social wellbeing.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and events within the facility.
• Assist with planning and scheduling activities such as movies, parties, games, and crafts; accompany residents on activities outside the facility.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Redfield by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
