Job summary

Avantara Libertyville is seeking an Activity Aide to support residents in a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment in Libertyville, IL. You will help maintain residents' emotional and social wellbeing by providing companionship and encouraging participation in daily activities.

Qualifications include a minimum 10th grade education; prior SNF experience is preferable but we will invest in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
• Interact with residents to provide companionship and encourage participation in activities.
• Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games and crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside the facility.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Libertyville by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social well being needs are met.
