Avantara Aurora is a leading skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Aurora, Illinois, seeking an Activity Aide to enhance residents' emotional and social wellbeing. You will interact with residents, provide companionship, and help organize activities to foster a vibrant community.

As part of a supportive team, you will assist with scheduling, games, crafts, and group outings, contributing to high-quality care and resident satisfaction while pursuing opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• High school educational level required (10th grade).
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents' emotional and social wellbeing through companionship.
• Encourage participation in activities and events.
• Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, and organizing games and crafts.
• Accompany residents to activities outside the facility when needed.

As an Activity Aide, you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Aurora by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
