Job summary

Avantara Pierre is seeking a Full-Time Activity Aide to join our caring team. You will help maintain residents’ emotional and social wellbeing by providing companionship, organizing activities, and encouraging participation in events. The role requires five days per week with 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum tenth grade education and at least 16 years old.
• Experience as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
• Candidate should enjoy providing companionship and supporting residents’ social needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to residents to support emotional well-being.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and events.
• Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, games and crafts.
• Accompany residents on activities outside the facility when needed.
• Support residents’ social engagement and daily routine.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Pierre by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education, be at least 16 years old.

Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
