We're seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team at Allure of Peru, a skilled nursing and healthcare center dedicated to providing exceptional care and a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. As an Activity Aide, you'll play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs that promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of our residents.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities Department
Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progress
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure seamless daily activities
Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility, promoting a positive and calm environment
Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs, recommending equipment and supply needs as needed
Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, following facility guidelines and treating residents with dignity and respect
Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred
Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents of varying maturity levels
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator
Week days varies between 8am-4pm and 930am - 530pm
Every other weekend 8am-4pm
Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress
Ability to function independently and work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people
Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Competitive hourly rate of $15 - $16
