Arcadia Care in Peoria Heights, IL is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents, aligned with care plans.

You will support daily activity rooms, supervise residents during activities, and help promote physical, social, and emotional well-being in a compassionate LTC setting. Full-time, part-time, and PRN options available.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as willingness to engage with residents at their current maturity level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting daily activity programs.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning activity rooms for scheduled activities.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
