Sterling Healthcare Management is seeking an energetic Activity Aide to bring joy, purpose, and connection to residents. You will plan and lead group and individual activities, support events, and build meaningful relationships with residents in a caring environment.

We value creativity and compassion; you will adapt activities for memory care needs and assist with special events while collaborating with staff to deliver a warm, engaged atmosphere every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with elderly or memory care populations preferred; training provided.
• Warm, patient and enthusiastic personality.
• Creative, energetic and able to engage a room.
• Ability to work weekdays and rotating weekends.
• Activity professional certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations.
• Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program.
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs.
• Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment.
• Document resident participation accurately in the activity record.
• Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely; support volunteers and community visitors during programs.
• Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse.
