Job summary

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team. You will plan and lead a diverse schedule of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, helping to promote socialization, engagement, and quality of life in a warm skilled-nursing environment.

This full-time position works 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with alternating weekends, requiring compassionate communication, basic mobility assistance, and the ability to document participation and

• Previous experience in geriatric care or activities programming preferred.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing activities such as arts and crafts, games, and entertainment programs.
• Encourage resident participation and socialization through a variety of activities and events.
• Monitor and assess resident participation and provide feedback to improve the activity program.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of resident participation and activity programs.
• Participate in resident assessments and goal setting to identify activity preferences and needs.
